No Vacancy, USAF 500th Fighter Pilots Shortage

US Air Force shortage of about 500 fighter pilots. This deficit is expected to grow to more than 800 in 2022.
The Air Force in their account written statement submitted to the Congressional Defense Committee blamed the shortfall is due to the latest reduction in combat duty and combat training squadron active because of budget cuts.
Service was forced to balance the structure of combat power in 2012 due to severe fiscal constraints that with a reduction of 100 aircraft. Currently there are 54 squadron in the Air Force or farther than during the Gulf War in the 1990s, which reached 134 fighter squadron.
The active component remaining fighter squadron does not produce enough pilots with combat experience to meet all the requirements of the Air Force.
"Without the fighter pilots, the Air Force will be challenged to continue to provide air supremacy," the statement quoted Defense News Thursday, March 10, 2016.
The Air Force had trouble closing the shortfall due to competition from low-komersial.Letnan General John Raymond, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force in front of the Defense Committee said the airline employs around 3,500 fighter pilots.
Lt. Gen. Mike Holmes, deputy chief of staff for strategic plans and requirements, said the Air Force will provide to Parliament a concrete plan to bridge the gap fighter next year. The plan covers up two additional combat training unit to train student pilots.
In the short term, the Air Force will focus on maintaining the existing fighter pilot through bonuses and various other equipment facilities. This service will also absorb the pilots who left active duty in the Reserve or Guard "so that we maintain expertise,
