US Planning More Often Send Bomber to Australia

The United States is talking with the government Turnbull about plans to increase the presence of long-range US bombers attack in Australia. China continues to provoke the so-called fixed excuse the plan.
US Pacific Air Forces Commander Gen. Lori Robinson said in Canberra on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 that the Chinese militarization of the South China Sea, the US and its partners must "maintain credible combat power".
He said China's military development increases the risk of "miscalculation" in which the conflict could be triggered by some unexpected event.
He amplifies opinion of a number of senior US military figures yangmendesak other countries, including Australia, to continue flying and sailing through the South China Sea in the face of China's military presence such as surface-to-air missiles and fighter jets.
To strengthen military ties, US bombers - including the possibility of supersonic B-1 bombers and tanker aircraft aerial refueling will regularly rotate through northern Australia to do the exercises.
"We are in the process of talking about the strength of the rotation, bombers and tankers from Australia," said Gen. Robinson.
"It gives us the opportunity to train with Australia, giving us the opportunity to strengthen the relationship that we have with the Royal Australian Air Force and gives us the opportunity to train our pilots and understand theater."
He said they will be operating from Tindal air base and Darwin. When the starting rotation, how often they will come and how long US personnel remain in Australia are all still to be resolved.
"It would be useful to train the entire spectrum of capabilities. Does that mean we will use B-1 and B-52 and it? I do not know yet because we're still working our way through the details of that. "
B-52 had previously been practiced in Australia. While the presence of B-1 Lancer bomber will be significant because they have a longer range than the B-52 and could easily reach the area in the contested South China Sea. The US is expected to have exclusively this bomber in the amount of approximately 40 fleet.
Australian Defence Minister Marise Payne said the talks were part of the Force Posture Initiative started by former prime minister Julia Gillard and Tony Abbott completed by. He confirmed it would result in increased rotations of US Air Force element through northern Australia.
"Australia remains strongly supports the US balance area near us, and we are working closely in support of our shared regional interests," he said.
General Robinson, a four-star general and commander of one of the most senior US military woman, warned the US very seriously face the militarization of China's South China Sea.
"As Admiral Harris, commander of US Pacific Command and my boss, repeatedly stated during the past few weeks, we should continue to maintain a fighting force that is credible and we continued to implement our freedom to fly and sail in international airspace and waters, and encourage partners and allies to do the same thing, or we'll risk of developing it throughout the region, "he was quoted as saying smh.com.au
